Oceanic

Along the shoreline, waves appear with a mint green hue

as they crash into the rocks and create a mist-like dew;

the friction of crash causes a milky froth

in an alcove that's covered with periwinkles and moss;

and the tide continues to roll in and kisses

all that in its path and misses;

the depth of the ocean is so deep and dark

and riding the perilous breakers is a lone lark;

determined to pass through safe and sound

to reunite with its partner who was swept abound;

Alas, a patch of blue sky is breaking through ,

and from the dark clouds a ray of sunshine grew;

as peace and tranquility replaces the manic

Until the next storm that embraces Oceanic. . .
