This is a poem for the National Poetry Month from Anton Afonin:
There're two goddesses in the Universe
Their names are Day and Night
One dresses all in ebony black
Another one in pure white.
Two goddesses are sisters
And nobody can win the bet:
What's more important - sky with stars
Or pretty day and sunset?
One paints the world in ivory white
Another one in dark and deep.
The sisters fight at dusk and dawn
And sands of time still seep.
Everytime they want to stay
But still, the Night comes after Day
Their names are Day and Night
One dresses all in ebony black
Another one in pure white.
Two goddesses are sisters
And nobody can win the bet:
What's more important - sky with stars
Or pretty day and sunset?
One paints the world in ivory white
Another one in dark and deep.
The sisters fight at dusk and dawn
And sands of time still seep.
Everytime they want to stay
But still, the Night comes after Day
